Our last trip to visit our European friends in search for vintage steel bikes proved rather successful. Amongst many other stunning retro road bikes from Belgium, The Netherlands & France, we also managed to find this beautiful pair of Italian Bottecchias.
Both kitted out with Campagnolo and both sharing the same branding, there are just a few things that separate them; the colour, the tubing, and... the small factor of an all silver 1st generation Campagnolo Super Record rear derailleur dated 1970!
They look absolutely amazing together, and it'd be beautiful if they stayed together, but we know that's very unlikely. Is there an Italian bicycle collector out there? Or a pretty tall couple looking to do some serious road riding?
Both of these babies are built from Columbus steel tubing, as you would expect from an vintage Italian racer and both feature the same full chrome rear stays and Campagnolo dropouts, and are oozing with beautiful Campag parts.
The camp is split over here. Sure, the grey one is kitted out with Campag Super Record parts and some beautifully pantographed finishing kit, but that red one is a real looker... We'd love to hear which one you guys prefer, let us know in the comments section below.
