Every so often we face a moral dilemma in the shop. If a bike hangs around for too long, we have to make extra effort to sell them. Bikes that have been around for longer than a few months usually get reduced, then reduced a little more. The next step is the painful one. We have to part the bike and sell the frame & components separately. It's not something we enjoy doing, especially with beautifully constructed bikes, but we have to turn over stock otherwise we won't be able to buy new bikes!
This week we face the dilemma of having to split this amazing Duell. It's an amazing machine, with an almost full Shimano 600 Ultegra Tri-Colour groupset dating to 1991. The colour is immense, the condition is awesome, it's built from Columbus SL tubing! Yet, it's still the shop, even at the sale price of £495, and it's a lot of bike for under £500.
If it's still around after the weekend, she will be split and sold in parts :(
Don't let it happen. Somebody. Save. The. Duell.

I realise it’s 5 years later, but what happened to the Duell?
My friend bought a Duell on my recommendation after I told him Italian frames were passe and the new hot thing would be Dutch frames.
I’m sure I’ll be proved right one day.
